Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Solution Designer to lead enterprise network architectures for defence services, translating complex customer requirements into robust, compliant designs. You will collaborate with sales, technology, security and operations teams to ensure seamless integration with customer digital strategies.

Responsibilities include creating design artefacts, cost assessments, and guiding bid proposals while maintaining strict security and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise network solutions for complex environments.
• Ability to translate customer needs into actionable designs with cost considerations.
• Strong understanding of security principles and ICT frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Act as the solution designer for a domain or service platform and provide solution overview to support teams.
• Create statements of works for design and delivery teams.
• Translate customer visions into design requirements, including CAPEX/OPEX, dependencies, risks, and mitigations.
• Provide SME guidance to stakeholders and shape service changes throughout the design lifecycle.
• Develop enterprise and solution architecture documents: as-is, to-be, and transitional states.
