Job summary

SGN in Edinburgh is recruiting a Network Records Assistant to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. You will maintain knowledge of the gas supply system and support safe, efficient development of the network, contributing to SGN's network validation and operation planning.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and diagnostic skills, be a clear communicator at all levels, and demonstrate initiative. Degree qualification is preferred but may be relaxed for exceptional ability.

Qualifications

• Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of the gas supply system.
• Demonstrate high level of computer literacy and related skills.
• Be an effective communicator at all levels with initiative.
• Degree qualification preferred, may be relaxed for exceptional abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a current and thorough knowledge of the gas supply system
• Supporting development of the supply system in a safe and efficient manner
• Carrying out all stages of the Network Validation Process to ensure the accuracy of SGN's Network Analysis computer models
• Determining the optimum method of network operation consistent with minimising costs and maintaining statutory obligations
• Providing an efficient and effective service to operations departments
