Job summary

SGN is seeking a Network Records Assistant in Edinburgh to maintain current knowledge of the gas supply system and support safe, efficient network operations. This is a full-time, hybrid role with a competitive benefits package.

You will undertake the Network Validation Process to ensure accuracy of SGN’s network analysis models, determine the best operating method while meeting statutory obligations, and provide an efficient service to operations departments.

Qualifications

• Requires good organisational, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator at all levels with initiative.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with standard IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of the gas supply system.
• Support development of the supply system in a safe and efficient manner.
• Carry out all stages of the Network Validation Process to ensure the accuracy of SGN’s Network Analysis models.
• Determine the optimum method of network operation, minimising costs and meeting statutory obligations.
• Provide an efficient and effective service to operations departments.
