Network Operations Specialist (Previous Relevant Experience Required), Exeter

Join our Engineering Team at Telent and be part of a high-performing group working on complex, critical infrastructure projects that keep the nation's networks connected and protected 24/7.

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician will provide administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incident resolution in line with procedures and contractual KPIs. This role involves working on a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle incoming calls and emails, responding according to KPIs.
  2. Create network incident tickets based on customer reports.
  3. Action Service Requests.
  4. Allocate and dispatch tickets to support teams and service providers.
  5. Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
  6. Coordinate traffic management with providers, control teams, and field resources.
  7. Communicate with customers about network incidents.
  8. Collaborate with utility companies during power loss issues.
Candidate Profile:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, ideally within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience with 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels of seniority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
