Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join our Avonmouth site in a 24x7 rotation. You will monitor network, server, power and environmental systems, respond to alerts and incidents, and coordinate escalations with engineering teams and vendors.

The role offers £35,000–£45,000 plus training, progression and benefits, with a site-based position and shift patterns including days and nights.

Qualifications

• Background in IT, networking, infrastructure support, technical operations or a similar environment.
• Comfortable working within a 24/7 rotation-based shift patterns.
• Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience using ITSM or ticket management systems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring network, server, power and environmental systems within a 24x7 operations environment.

• Managing tickets through to resolution with accurate documentation.

Network Operations Engineer

Are you an engineer with a background in IT, networking, infrastructure support or technical operations looking for a role where you'll gain exposure to modern data centre technologies, develop your technical skillset across infrastructure, and build a long-term career within a rapidly growing sector?

Operating within a highly available, 24x7 environment, the business is expanding its operational capabilities and is looking for engineers who want to develop their careers in a fast-moving and technically diverse setting.

Working within the Network Operations Centre, you will be the first point of technical response for infrastructure alerts, incidents and service requests. You'll monitor critical systems, respond within SLA, perform initial troubleshooting and incident triage, and coordinate escalations to engineering teams, field operations and third-party providers when required.

You'll gain broader technical exposure than in a traditional support role, working across network, server, storage, power and environmental systems while contributing to incident management, outage coordination and continuous improvement.

For the right person, there is a genuine opportunity to grow alongside the function, taking on greater responsibility as the team develops and progressing into senior Network Operations, Infrastructure, Operations or specialist technical positions over time.
