Job summary

Wessex Internet in Weymouth, England, is seeking a Network Manager to lead our Network Operations team and define how we manage, monitor and improve our full fibre network.

You will own the product and service roadmap, drive CI/CD improvements, coordinate engineers, and partner with the CTO to align performance with business goals.

The role requires experience leading technical networks, strong service delivery, a UK driving licence, and a commitment to delivering outstanding rural connectivity.

Qualifications

Experience leading technical/network teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong track record in operational leadership, performance management, and service delivery.
In-depth understanding of data connectivity products and multi-vendor environments.
A proactive problem‑solver with excellent communication skills.
UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Network Operations team, ensuring strong performance and development.
Define and track KPI/OKRs with the CTO, aligning team goals with business priorities.
Oversee and improve incident response, fault resolution, and network support processes.
Manage relationships and technical escalations with third-party network providers.
Collaborate with Sales to provide technical solutions and support for customer requirements.
Own the product and service roadmap from concept through to launch.
Drive continuous improvement of network tools and procedures in line with CI/CD principles.
Coordinate engineer deployment to ensure swift and effective fault resolution.
Help evolve both internal systems and external‑facing services alongside the CTO.
