Job summary

Wessex Internet in Weymouth, England, is seeking a Network Manager to lead our Network Operations team and define how we manage, monitor and improve our full fibre network.

You will own the product and service roadmap, drive CI/CD improvements, coordinate engineers, and partner with the CTO to align performance with business goals.

The role requires experience leading technical networks, strong service delivery, a UK driving licence, and a commitment to delivering outstanding rural connectivity.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading technical/network teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong track record in operational leadership, performance management, and service delivery.
  • In-depth understanding of data connectivity products and multi-vendor environments.
  • A proactive problem‑solver with excellent communication skills.
  • UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Network Operations team, ensuring strong performance and development.
  • Define and track KPI/OKRs with the CTO, aligning team goals with business priorities.
  • Oversee and improve incident response, fault resolution, and network support processes.
  • Manage relationships and technical escalations with third-party network providers.
  • Collaborate with Sales to provide technical solutions and support for customer requirements.
  • Own the product and service roadmap from concept through to launch.
  • Drive continuous improvement of network tools and procedures in line with CI/CD principles.
  • Coordinate engineer deployment to ensure swift and effective fault resolution.
  • Help evolve both internal systems and external‑facing services alongside the CTO.

What We're Looking For

Desirable (but not essential)
  • Qualifications in network/security (CISSP, CCNA/P).
  • Experience with ITIL or eTOM frameworks.
  • Background in Change Management.
