This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the past few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This is a large trust with future growth plans, making it an exciting opportunity for professional development. The role is based at a North Manchester secondary school, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and involves being an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by a proactive IT Director who collaborates across the trust.
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the onsite IT team, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your duties include responding to IT requests and issues, ensuring prompt resolution, conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing team members. You will also oversee the IT budget and coordinate with third-party vendors for procurement.
To succeed, you should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with strong knowledge of relevant systems and processes. A passion for IT and a commitment to high-quality service are essential. Experience in team leadership, training, and upskilling junior staff is also required.
