Your new company

This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the past few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This is a large trust with plans for further growth, making it an exciting opportunity for professional development. You will be based at a North Manchester secondary school, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will be an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director with a proactive approach, working collaboratively across all schools and teams.

Your new role

Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to provide efficient IT support to staff and pupils, resolving IT requests and issues promptly. Operational responsibilities include monthly reviews, performance management, and staff development. You will also manage the IT budget for your schools and coordinate with third-party vendors for procurement.

What you'll need to succeed

Applicants should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of educational systems and processes. A passion for IT and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential. Experience in team leadership, staff training, and development is also required.
