Due to a new programme to deliver a full mains renewal across our region, we are recruiting to scale our teams for this significant work. This is your opportunity to be part of this transformation!
We are looking for a Network Logistics Operative responsible for managing large-scale construction activity across multiple sites.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As our Network Logistics Operative, you’ll ensure the safe, timely, and compliant delivery of construction equipment and materials onsite, including import/export of reinstatement materials, delivery of fittings, and use of mechanical excavation equipment and vehicles.
You’ll drive Logistics vehicles, mainly HGV “Grab” lorries, and undertake the safe removal of waste materials and spoil, as well as delivering new materials to facilitate main renewal phases.
The role involves transporting and delivering plant and equipment, completing dynamic risk assessments, and some construction activities like sectioning and service laying to support the Network Construction teams.
This is a 42-hour work week, Monday to Friday, starting at 7:30 AM, ending at 4:30 PM, with a half-hour early finish at 4:00 PM on Fridays.
Key Accountabilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Candidate must hold a Class 2 Drivers Licence (preferably CE), HGV qualification, and experience driving HGVs. A HIAB (Grab) qualification and NRSWA Operative certification are also required.
You should have a good track record in logistics vehicle driving, customer service skills, and knowledge of tachograph and driving regulations. A positive, caring attitude is also essential.
