Contract : Network Lead
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £550 - £595 a day (Deemed Outside IR35 determination)
Location: Remote but may require occasional travel to London site

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Network Lead for a 3-month contract engagement with a leading FinTech client. This role will involve leading complex network initiatives with a strong emphasis on Cisco technologies and Cisco ACI within a fast-paced, regulated environment. Prior experience in Financial Services (FS) or FinTech environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing support of Cisco-based network infrastructure, particularly focused on Cisco ACI
• Oversee network performance, security, and operational integrity across hybrid infrastructures.
• Act as the primary technical lead on network projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulatory and security standards.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Cloud teams to ensure cohesive delivery of technology services.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide senior-level expertise in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure adherence to change and incident management processes.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in senior or lead network engineering roles, ideally within Financial Services or FinTech.
• Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco ACI architecture and policy management.
• Deep expertise with Cisco Nexus switching, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and Layer 2/3 enterprise networking.
• Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and secure, scalable data center networks.
• Proven experience managing secure, resilient, and compliant infrastructure in regulated environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, delivery-focused mindset.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Cisco CCNP or CCIE (especially in Data Center or Enterprise Infrastructure)
• Cisco ACI Specialist or equivalent hands-on expertise
