Placements24 is assisting in sourcing a Network Engineer for a Randburg-based role. The candidate will design, implement, and support LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security across multiple sites.

The position requires 3+ years in network engineering, strong TCP/IP knowledge, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), and experience with Cisco/Juniper equipment. CCNA/CCNP are advantageous, with a focus on network monitoring and security.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
3+ years of network engineering or administration experience.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, and network security principles.
Experience with Cisco and Juniper hardware is preferred.
Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless APs.
Monitor performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Implement and maintain network security measures including VPNs and IDS.
Manage capacity planning and optimize network utilization.
Document configurations, procedures, and standards.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network services with other systems.
