Job summary

La Fosse in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support an enterprise network across on‑prem, cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring high availability, performance and security.

This hands‑on role covers BAU operations and project delivery, including design and implementation of routing, switching, firewall and VPN solutions, wireless networks, and collaboration with IT teams to drive network improvements and governance compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise network environments.
• Cisco-focused networking (routing & switching, Nexus).
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs and security technologies.
• Hands-on wireless networking (APs, controllers).
• Experience supporting large-scale networks.
• Understanding of network design, architecture, and traffic flow.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem).
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Cloud networking experience (Azure or hybrid).
• Automation scripting (PowerShell/Python).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise network infrastructure across LAN/WAN/cloud and hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues; escalation point for major incidents.
• Design and implement routing, switching, security and connectivity solutions.
• Maintain high availability and resilience of the network estate.
• Contribute to RCA and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support network change activities per governance and security policies.
• Monitor and manage data centre and network environments including LAN, WAN, and wireless.
• Collaborate with wider IT teams to support projects and BAU delivery.
• Contribute to network documentation and operational best practices.
