Your role is to support complex network architectures by developing, designing, configuring, and implementing detailed network engineering strategies/solutions that meet and/or exceed capability, flexibility, scalability, performance, and reliability objectives for a variety of large projects, across multiple technologies, within your technical area of expertise. You will also provide technical leadership to team/vendor/contractor resources, ensuring viability of designs, flawless execution, and seamless transition into the production environment.

How you'll spend your time...

• Independently perform highly complex assignments.
• Network design, architecture, management, and deployment of new and existing routing and switching within campus and data center networks.
• Lead proper execution of network changes & updates in accordance with corporate security policies to meet business requirements.
• Responsible for network performance and security monitoring in addition to troubleshooting network-related issues logically.
• Research, recommend, and establish innovative solutions for capacity planning that scales with business growth.
• Introduce automation for routine administrative tasks where possible.
• Collaborate with all Information Technology (IT) disciplines.
• Create, maintain, and update documentation with relevant information.
• Serve as escalation resource during major incidents and outages.
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
• Perform problem diagnosis, initiate resolution, and provide ongoing support for network deployments and upgrades.
• Collaborate with team members to align project scoping with architectural objectives.
• Refine processes, policies, and best practices for optimal performance and availability.
• Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and their potential business value.

To be successful in this role you will have...

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive relevant networking experience.
• Experience with network design and engineering.
• Strong analytical and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively across organizational levels.
• Thought leadership and innovative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coach and mentor network engineering staff.
