Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer in London to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale network and cloud infrastructure. The role is hands-on, focusing on modern networking, automation, and cloud connectivity (Azure/AWS), with collaboration across architects, security teams, and global stakeholders.

You'll work across data centres, cloud, SD-WAN, and security environments to deliver robust, scalable solutions and ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise networking across data centres, WAN, and cloud.
• Hands-on Azure and AWS cloud networking and secure connectivity design.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN and LAN/WAN.
• Experience with monitoring, security, and automation tools at large scale.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and support Layer 2/3 networks across data centres, cloud, and remote locations.
• Implement and optimize cloud networking (Azure/AWS) and SD-WAN with SaaS and enterprise systems.
• Manage and support network security platforms, monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, ensure high availability.
• Develop automation solutions for provisioning and configuration, drive continuous improvement and standardisation.

We're looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join a global in-house IT function, playing a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale network and cloud infrastructure.

You’ll work across data centre, cloud, SD-WAN, and security environments, delivering robust and scalable solutions while collaborating with architects, security teams, and global stakeholders. This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on modern networking, automation, and cloud connectivity (Azure/AWS).

Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and support Layer 2/3 networks, including connectivity across data centres, cloud platforms, and remote locations.
• Implement and optimise cloud networking (Azure/AWS) and SD-WAN solutions integrated with SaaS and enterprise systems.
• Manage and support network security platforms, monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high availability.
• Develop automation solutions for provisioning and configuration, while driving continuous improvement and standardisation

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in enterprise networking with strong troubleshooting across data centre, WAN, and cloud environments.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and secure connectivity design.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, LAN/WAN).
• Experience with network monitoring, security, and automation tools in large‑scale environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
