You will develop and enhance monitoring, telemetry, and automation across a large-scale, multi-vendor network, ensuring high availability while collaborating with trading and engineering teams. The role includes on-call rotation and a strong emphasis on automation best practices.

They are looking for a Network Engineer with a strong focus on observability and automation to join their global infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to work on large‑scale, business‑critical networking environments while helping to drive the firm's monitoring, telemetry, and automation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance network observability, monitoring, telemetry, and alerting capabilities across a global network environment.
• Design, implement, and support a highly available multi‑vendor network infrastructure.
• Build automation solutions to streamline network operations, configuration management, and incident response.
• Partner with infrastructure, engineering, and trading teams to deliver scalable networking solutions.
• Establish and promote engineering standards, best practices, and operational procedures.
• Act as an escalation point for complex networking issues and participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in network observability and network automation.
• Hands‑on experience with technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Telegraf, Cisco Telemetry, gNMI, and YANG.
• Experience with automation tools including Python, Ansible, Terraform, NetBox, Git, Jinja, NETCONF, and RESTCONF.
• Knowledge of AWS networking and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of routing and networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, PIM, and IGMP.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
• A proactive, self‑motivated approach with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

• An understanding of financial markets and trade lifecycles is a
• Experience with Zabbix, LibreNMS, and SNMP.
• Exposure to Cisco ISE and Meraki.
• Experience supporting Cisco CUCM, Webex Calling, or Cloud9 environments.
