Job Description:

Network ENGINEER (NE) Meraki

Duties and responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Design Engineers/ Leads/ Tier 3 /Project Managers /Customer and Field Technicians.
• Handle implementation as per guidelines shared by Design Engineer.
• Verify implementation according to the Implementation Design document and SOPs.
• Migration of existing infrastructure to SD-WAN, including multi-OEM SD-WAN migrations.
• Scope includes Software (OS) upgrades, Hardware Refresh (LAN/WAN/WLAN), and activations for various WAN circuits (MPLS/Internet/LTE/Broadband).
• Understand existing hardware, software, and networking systems.
• Work on multi-OEM SD-WAN technologies (Viptela/Versa/Meraki/Silver Peak/Palo Alto).
• Handle multi-OEM hardware interfaces like Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, ADTRAN, Versa, Viptela.
• Make minor template changes in the Design post consultation with DE.
• Engage with Design Engineer for major design changes.
• Manage Routing, Switching, and Wireless deployments and activations.
• Resolve technical issues related to networks, hardware, and software.
• Perform speed and security tests on installed networks.
• Ensure the protection of customer proprietary network and project information.

Skills/qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking administration, IT, or similar.
• 9-10 years' experience as a network engineer.
• Knowledge of multi-OEM (Cisco/Juniper/Aruba) is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with Meraki devices (Router/Switch/Access Point).
• Experience with Meraki Dashboard.
• Knowledge of multi-OEM SD-WAN (Viptela/Versa/Silver Peak/Palo Alto/Meraki) is advantageous.
• Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, SD-WAN, Wireless are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, and networking protocols (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, VRFs, STP).
• Experience with interface configuration, WAN link termination, hardware/software refresh, and upgrades.
• Excellent understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
