Network Engineer required for well known financial services firm based in the City (Bank/Cannon Street) They are looking for someone with excellent Cisco ACIas the role will involvedesigning, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure using Cisco ACI. Preference will be given to candidates with a financial services background.Hybrid role - 2/3 times per week in the London officeInside IR35Skills required:
- Networking:Deep knowledge of L2/L3, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, multicast, etc.
- Cisco ACI:APIC, leaf-spine architecture, tenants, EPGs, contracts.
- Automation:Python, Ansible, REST APIs.
- Security:Segmentation, micro-segmentation, policy-based access.
- Tools:Cisco Nexus switches, UCS, and integration with tools like VMware vCenter or ServiceNow.
Core Responsibilities- Design & Architecture
- Develop scalable and secure network architectures using Cisco ACI.
- Design tenant configurations, application profiles, endpoint groups (EPGs), and contracts.
- Deployment & Implementation
- Set up Cisco ACI fabrics (spines, leaves, APIC controllers).
- Configure ACI policies, bridge domains, and L3 outs.
- Integrate ACI with external networks and services (firewalls, load balancers, etc.).
- Operations & Management
- Monitor network performance and health using the ACI dashboard and tools.
- Manage policy enforcement, segmentation, and automation workflows.
- Handle firmware upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery plans for the ACI fabric.
- Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity or performance issues within the fabric.
- Work with other teams (e.g., security, server, storage) to support multi-domain operations.
- Automation & Scripting
- Use tools like Python, Ansible, or Terraform to automate configuration and deployments.
- Leverage REST APIs or Cisco’s ACI Toolkit for programmability.
