Network Engineer - Central London

We're looking for a Network Engineer to join our Managed Services team on a major Public Sector project. You'll be part of an on-site technical team responsible for installing and commissioning local area networks (LAN) across 102 customer facilities spanning 67 miles.

Reporting to the Senior Network Engineer, you will play a key part in commissioning and testing network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with technical design standards. Professionalism and attention to detail are vital — you'll be the face of the business on customer sites daily.

Responsibilities
  • Install and configure LAN switches, wireless access points, and other network equipment
  • Carry out copper and fibre patching
  • Troubleshoot and resolve wired network issues with support from the wider team
  • Maintain network availability and document maintenance and testing procedures
  • Update ITSM systems and network design documentation with clear and accurate notes
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues
  • Identify and suggest improvements in installation and commissioning processes
  • Work closely with the Managed Services team to support handover and continuous service improvement
  • Maintain excellent customer care standards across all interactions
