Job Title: Network Development Engineer

Location: Hampshire

Salary: 48k plus 10% DV bonus and 3% bonus

Note: Candidate must be willing and eligible to undergo SC and DV clearance.

About the Role

Responsibilities

1. Research, plan, evaluate, and create design artefacts (both high and low level) applying engineering design principles to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
2. Automate deployment processes where possible and prepare professional documentation for all components.
3. Provide 4th Line support directly with vendors to ensure successful resolution of issues.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Proven experience in delivering high-quality solutions and documentation using a structured approach for complex components.
2. Experience in producing design artefacts such as architectural overview documents, high-level, and low-level designs.
3. Strong understanding of OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP routing protocols.
4. Knowledge of NAT, GRE Tunnelling, DMVPN, subnetting, and supernetting.
5. Ability to automate network configuration deployment and software components in a verifiable manner.
6. Experience supporting and maintaining work packages throughout the Customer Solution Lifecycle.
7. Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing and switching appliances.
8. Experience with impact assessments and working on secure infrastructure solutions.
9. Experience with Juniper SRX or Fortinet FortiGate is advantageous.
10. Experience with Cisco ASA and McAfee MFE appliances is advantageous.
