Job Overview

The Network Delivery Team Lead role combines management and technical responsibilities, leading a team of network and security project engineers responsible for delivering new or modified services. You will oversee and execute all network-related deployments including SDWAN, WAN, LAN, MPLS, Wi-Fi, VOIP, IAAS, and Cloud Services. Additionally, you will support bid and solutions teams with tenders and proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high-quality service delivery and business viability, fostering trust with clients.
  • Leadership: Motivate, mentor, and coach team members; support in setting priorities and resolving conflicts; engage stakeholders; build consensus for quality service delivery.
  • Resource Management: Ensure adequate resources; communicate roles and expectations; support professional development; conduct performance reviews and KPI monitoring.
  • Quality Assurance: Govern technical quality of projects in line with standards, contracts, and ISO accreditation.
  • Initiate & Deliver: Assist in designing, planning, and implementing strategic initiatives, policies, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Escalation & Communication: Manage escalations, support resolution, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Wellbeing & Development: Assess workload risks, support colleagues, and promote innovation and training.
Line Management Responsibilities
  • Define team goals, plan activities, manage finances, and resources.
  • Motivate, mentor, and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Set standards, manage attendance, and ensure team performance aligns with business objectives.

Preferred qualifications and experience include:

  • Minimum 5 years in a senior technical role within a managed service environment
  • Experience with SDWAN, WAN, LAN, Firewalls, MPLS, Wi-Fi, VOIP, IAAS, and Cloud services
  • CCNP certification in relevant areas
  • Experience with MPLS, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, QoS across multiple vendors
Hours of Work

Standard hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00-17:30 (with 1-hour lunch), and Friday 9:00-15:30. Hybrid work arrangement with two days in Harrogate office (typically Monday and Wednesday) and three days remote.
