Job summary

Node4 Ltd. seeks a technical Delivery Authority to lead design assurance, governance and delivery leadership for networking engagements.

You will design, implement and assure complex networking solutions based on Fortinet, Cisco and Juniper technologies, ensuring services are delivered safely and to standards. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Pre-Sales, Architecture, Project Management, Delivery and Support teams, and contribute to reusable deployment standards and automation

Qualifications

• Enterprise networking delivery experience in an MSP/SI or enterprise environment.
• Proven leadership as technical lead or design authority on customer-facing projects.
• Strong routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, VPN, and data centre technologies knowledge.

Job description

Acts as the technical authority for network delivery engagements, providing design assurance, governance, and technical delivery leadership throughout the project.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and assures complex networking solutions, based on Fortinet, Cisco & Juniper technologies, ensuring services are delivered safely, securely, and in accordance with agreed standards.
• Works closely with Pre-Sales, Architecture, Project Management, Delivery, and Support teams to ensure customer requirements are translated into successful technical outcomes.
• Supports the standardisation and continual improvement of network services, delivery methods, and implementation practices.
• Provides technical mentoring and guidance to engineers, helping to build delivery capability and consistency across the Network Practice.
• Lead customer discovery sessions, technical workshops, and implementation planning activities for network projects.
• Produce and assure technical documentation including low-level designs, implementation & migration plans, test plans, network diagrams, and operational handover documentation.
• Configure, deploy, and validate network solutions in accordance with architectural designs, standards, and customer requirements.
• Act as Technical Design Authority for assigned projects, providing governance, technical assurance, and risk management throughout delivery.
• Review and approve technical deliverables and implementation approaches produced by project engineers.
• Ensure services are delivered in line with best practice, operational standards, and service acceptance requirements.
• Support the transition of delivered services into support, ensuring readiness, documentation quality, and operational acceptance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues encountered during deployment and implementation activities.
• Contribute to reusable deployment standards, configuration templates, automation initiatives, and delivery best practice.
• Provide technical mentorship, coaching, and development support to delivery engineers and wider Network Practice teams.
• Work collaboratively with vendors, partners, architects, and operational teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
• Support the ongoing evolution of Node4's network portfolio, services, standards, and delivery methodologies.
  Fortinet NSE5 or 6 and/or Cisco CCNP and/or Juniper JNCIP certification or equivalent technical capability.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise networking and complex solutions within an MSP, systems integrator, or enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, VPN, security, Data Centre Switching, LAN and WAN technologies.
• Experience producing low level designs, implementation & migration plans, test plans, and supporting documentation.
• Experience acting as a technical lead, design authority, or senior consultant on customer-facing projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across complex network environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting technical capability development within a delivery team.
• Exposure to automation, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, or repeatable deployment methodologies would be advantageous.
