The University of Surrey is seeking a Network & Data Centre Engineer on a fixed-term basis to support network, voice and data centre services. You will monitor services, respond to alerts, perform approved maintenance and keep technical records up to date.

• Experience monitoring network, voice and data centre services.
• Ability to perform approved maintenance and standard changes.
• Maintain accurate technical and operational records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network, voice and data centre services, respond to system alerts and requests.
• Install, configure and maintain network and data centre equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve routine incidents using documented procedures and escalate when needed.
• Carry out approved changes, maintenance and testing with coordination.
• Maintain accurate technical and operational records and diagrams.
