Job summary

Dudley Council is looking for an experienced Network Co-ordinator to join the Network Management Team in Dudley. You will assess and process highway permits and traffic management applications under NRSWA/TMA schemes and maintain compliance across the borough.

With a working knowledge of highway maintenance legislation and the ability to engage with customers, clients, and partners, you will typically work in the office 3+ days a week and may need to obtain NRSWA Supervisors Accreditation.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of highway maintenance legislation.
• Possess or be willing to obtain NRSWA Supervisors Accreditation.
• Experience of working with customers, clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage highway permits and traffic management applications.
• Assess licences under Highways Act 1980 including skips, hoardings etc.
• Undertake borough-wide site inspections to monitor occupancy of works.

We are looking for an experienced Network Co-ordinator to join our Network Management Team.

As a Network Co-ordinator you will carry out the co-ordination and network management duty on the Borough Council's highway by assessing and processing permits and traffic management applications set out under regulations and conditions from the New Roads & Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and enforced through the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council Permit Scheme . Additionally you will be required to assess applications for licences issued under the Highways Act 1980 including skips, scaffolds hoardings etc . occupying the highway. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake borough wide site inspections in relation to monitoring occupancy of work on the network .

The successful candidate will:

• Have a working knowledge of highway maintenance legislation, techniques and procedures
• Possess or be willing to obtain NRSWA Supervisors Accreditation
• Have experience of working with customers, clients and partners

Workplace Attendance: Working in the office 3+ days a week (pro-rata)
