WWT is looking for a Network Architect for a 6-month contract role, inside IR35, remote in the UK.

Role Summary:

Seeking a seasoned Network Architect to support the TMRF Metal Uplift 2025 program, focusing on Core Networks (LAN/WAN/DC/DDI), Network Functions (Security platforms like firewalls and MFA), and Network Endpoint Connectivity. The role involves providing architectural leadership across legacy modernization, infrastructure uplift, and integration of voice, data, and application services such as load balancers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide architectural guidance and solution design across workstreams including DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM), Network Functions (security and network services), and Endpoint Connectivity (hardware and software integration).
• Lead design and solution workshops with stakeholders across UK, EMEA, and APAC.
• Deliver network architecture artifacts, including high-level and low-level designs.
• Define and validate test cases for new builds, upgrades, and platform retirements.
• Oversee contact centre and IVR systems, call recording deployment, load balancer architecture (including HA and routing policies).
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for build, configuration, and testing phases.
• Ensure architecture decisions align with resilience and uplift goals.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer for supportability.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of network architecture experience in large, regulated enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of core IP networking (routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, IPAM) – Essential.
• Beneficial: Telephony and IVR architectures.
• Experience supporting multi-region implementations with cross-site HA and DR.
• Familiarity with resilience frameworks and metal tiering concepts (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Proven experience in program-led transformation efforts.
• Ability to guide procurement and vendor engagement strategies.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.
• Experience with test resiliency, scripting (Python, Ansible), and telemetry.
• Understanding of cloud-based networking and hybrid infrastructure.
