We are in search of a Network Administrator for our Leidos engineering capability. The successful administrator will have a full understanding of the principles of networking and will have prior experience as a Network admin on a major programme involving accepting and integrating deliveries from suppliers.

As a Network Administrator in Leidos you will be working on one of our key programs delivering support on a complex and ever changing MOD system.You will be working on a system that is directly involved in ensuring the National Security of the UK. Using your experience in Network administration, you will be responsible for working with customers to triage network faults and ensure user connectivity is maintained.

What you will do

Your primary responsibility will be to triage and maintain a small but complex network which incorporates multiple technologies with a focus on the security and stability of the network. The actual work you will perform consists of a blend of operational support alongside specific project activity. Keeping an eye on the technology landscape is essential too – identification of new and relevant technologies to solve problems and make improvements is part of the job.


What we are looking for:

Current clearance, or the ability to gain DV clearance.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP model.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with multiple firewall technologies.
  • Experience with VOIP Administration.

It would be nice if you had:

  • Software defined networking experience.
  • Experience with ROIP implementations.
  • Knowledge of JSP440 security guidelines.
  • Experience of working with industry partners and platform integrators to support platform integration and installation.

Location: This role will be based in Herefordshire.

Clearance Required:

This role will require DV clearance.
