Job summary

Third Nexus Group Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Network Engineer to establish and govern a NetBox-based source of truth for enterprise network data. The role focuses on data quality, automation expansion, and integration with ITSM platforms.

Leverage Python, Ansible, and REST APIs to automate discovery, data assurance, and CMDB population. The contract runs 6 months+ with a daily rate up to £400, based in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Experience with NetBox/Nautobot-based data modelling and governance.
• Hands-on Python, Ansible, REST APIs; familiarity with Terraform/PowerShell.
• Ability to integrate NetBox with ServiceNow and other ITSM/CMDB tools.

Responsibilities

• Review network data landscape and data quality across systems.
• Assess NetBox implementation; improve data modelling, governance, and integrations.
• Develop NetBox enhancements for enterprise inventory and lifecycle management.
• Design automated discovery and data assurance to improve data accuracy.
• Maintain the NetBox data model to support operational and automation goals.
• Define processes to keep NetBox as the trusted source of record for assets and topology.
