Job summary

Trowers & Hamlins LLP is seeking a Sustainability Advisor in Manchester to help deliver the firm’s environmental and net zero initiatives. The role will support strategy development, data reporting and stakeholder engagement across the business.

You will manage projects, coordinate responses to audits and questionnaires, and work with suppliers to improve sustainability performance while ensuring compliance with environmental policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in sustainability, environmental or ESG-focused roles.
• Understanding of carbon accounting, greenhouse gas reporting and net zero principles.
• Experience managing projects and delivering initiatives on time.
• Strong analytical and data presentation skills.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Relevant sustainability or environmental qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of the organisation's sustainability strategy across environmental and carbon reduction initiatives.
• Collect, analyse and report environmental data and carbon emissions.
• Manage sustainability projects from planning through delivery.
• Support environmental reporting requirements, disclosures and carbon reduction plans.
• Coordinate responses to client sustainability questionnaires, audits and tender requests.
• Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve sustainability performance.
• Assist with environmental management systems, policies and compliance activities.
• Produce engaging sustainability communications and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor industry developments, legislation and best practice to drive continuous improvement.
