Job summary

Heathrow is seeking a strategic lead to drive its Net Zero Plan for ground operations—covering surface access, construction, and equipment. You will align policy insights with practical delivery, ensuring milestones are met and carbon targets are achieved.

The role requires deep carbon knowledge, senior stakeholder management, and the ability to develop robust business cases for net-zero projects across the airport’s operations in the UK. Hybrid working with UK-based eligibility.

Qualifications

• Strong background in carbon with broad market knowledge.
• Knowledge of decarbonising ground-based emissions for large infrastructure.
• Experience implementing PAS2080 in organisations.
• Ability to translate long-term strategy into actionable delivery plans with milestones.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and lead virtual teams.
• Experience developing and leading business cases for net-zero projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic lead and SME for airport ground decarbonisation, shaping the net-zero strategy for surface access, supply chain, transport and buildings.
• Stay updated on policy, industry trends, and innovations and share insights across teams.
• Drive the implementation of PAS2080 and support waste reduction and circularity.
• Sponsor carbon-related capital projects within Heathrow’s Carbon Programme, including EV charging rollout for ground ops.
• Develop business cases and support planning processes for net-zero initiatives.
• Identify commercial opportunities in the net-zero transition to reduce costs and add value.
