Job summary

Babble in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Developer to design, build, and maintain custom software solutions that extend our platform and connect with partners, customers, and third‑party services.

You will own end‑to‑end delivery, implement secure authentication and APIs, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with internal teams and clients to define data contracts and achieve reliable, scalable integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience with .NET (C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+)
• Strong API development experience: design, build, version, and consume RESTful APIs
• Experience delivering standalone customer solutions or extensions plus integrations
• Solid understanding of security concepts for applications, data in transit and at rest
• Hands-on authentication methods: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, API keys, mutual TLS
• Familiar with JSON and XML, Git, and CI/CD practices
• Strong problem-solving and production support skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions using .NET, extending platform functionality and building integrations.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs; expose and version APIs to consistent standards.
• Deliver full standalone solutions for customers when requirements exceed existing systems.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization across solutions.
• Troubleshoot failures, monitor production, and improve observability.
• Document APIs and integrations; collaborate with customers and internal teams to define data contracts.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards within CI/CD workflows.
