Job description

Nestlé Purina Warehouse distributes pet food across the UK. The role involves picking and packing duties, potential forklift work, preparing orders for stores, and creating promotional materials.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week across 3 shifts:

  1. Shift 1: Any 5 out of 7 days, rotating between 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00
  2. Shift 2: Weekend Thursday-Monday, rotating between 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00

We are recruiting for the following operational vacancy at Hams Hall:

Warehouse Operative

Operatives are responsible for receiving inbound loads, picking orders, preparing loads for dispatch, and loading vehicles using MHE. Tasks should be performed safely and accurately, maintaining product quality. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience in a busy warehouse (desired but not essential)
  • Experience in manual handling
  • Understanding of quality and health and safety standards
  • Ability to work independently
  • MHE licences are advantageous but not essential; full training provided

Salary: Based on 37.5 hours per week, with physical presence on-site for 40 hours. The salary is £27,364.48 plus shift allowances depending on hours worked.

Shift premiums:

  • Rotating Week: £1,709.50
  • Weekend: £2,470
  • Nights: £5,831.80
