• Act as the visible designated clinical nurse leader, setting standards and promoting teamwork.
• Lead the delivery of a clinically excellent service and monitor practice against standards.
• Oversee staffing, rostering and performance management within the nursing/midwifery team.
• Promote continuous quality improvement through audit, research and feedback.
• Deputise for Matron and contribute to the organisation's objectives.
