Job description

Vacancy: Band 5 Staff Nurse (Registered Child Branch) - Neonatal Unit, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Neonatal Unit at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. Our unit comprises 4 ITU cots, 2 High Dependency cots, and 11 Special Care cots. Currently, we have 4 qualified Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and 2 trainee ANNPS.

Our forward-thinking unit offers opportunities to undertake Foundations in Neonatal Care modules. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, and be able to work independently.

You will be expected to deliver high-quality, holistic, family-centered care, with an up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice and a commitment to clinically effective neonatal care.

Requirements include a recognised clinical qualification, evidence of ongoing professional development, and initiation of Flying Start on qualifying. A requirement of this post is to become a member of the PVG Scheme prior to appointment.
