We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Charge Nurse/Team Leader to join our Anaesthetic Team within Theatres at Phase 3 Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. You will have theatre and anaesthetic experience at senior band 5 level or above and be able to demonstrate ongoing professional development.
Phase 3 Theatres is an 11 theatre suite with 2 recovery rooms covering Trauma, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, and Paediatrics. This includes a 24/7 Emergency theatre and Obstetric Theatre.
The National Treatment Centre for Elective Orthopaedic Theatre Suite has 3 theatres and 1 recovery room.
The post holder provides professional and clinical support to the Senior Charge Nurses and Anaesthetic Clinical Lead Practitioner (ACLP) to ensure safe, efficient, and effective management of the operating theatres with specific responsibility for a designated clinical specialty.
The post holder will have delegated responsibility from the Clinical Lead for planning and implementing patient-centred care, and for ensuring the standards of care are implemented within the operating department.
You must hold First Level Registration with either NMC or HCPC.
You should be educated to degree level or working towards it, or possess equivalent knowledge and experience.
