Job summary

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Neonatal Nurse to join our Level 1 Neonatal Unit. The role involves leading day-to-day nursing care, supporting colleagues during busy periods, and delivering high-quality family-integrated care to sick and preterm infants.

The post holder will uphold clinical standards, contribute to a supportive environment for patients, families and staff, and work within a multidisciplinary team across shifts in a busy neonatal setting.

Qualifications

• Valid registration as RN/RSCN/RM (Essential).
• ENB 405 (QIS) or equivalent (Essential).
• ENB 997/998 (mentorship) or equivalent (Essential).
• Degree or evidence of recent study at Degree Level (Essential).

Responsibilities

• Post holder is responsible for the day-to-day management of nursing care provision on the NNU.
• Support other nurses during periods of increased workload or during transfers of babies.
• Contribute to high-quality, family-integrated care and maintain clinical standards.
