Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking an enthusiastic Neonatal Nurse at Band 6 level to join our Neonatal Unit in Dumfries. The post is fixed term for 9 months and suitable for both full-time and part-time applicants, to be discussed at interview.

Applicants must hold current first-level NMC registration and have recent Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience. The successful candidate will lead with strong communication, collaboration and a commitment to family-centred, high-quality care.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Neonatal Nurse to join our team at Band 6 level. Applicants must hold current first-level NMC registration and have recent experience working within a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

This post is fixed term for 9 months and consideration will be given to full-time or part-time working - this can be discussed at interview.

Completion of the Neonatal Nurse Quality in Specialty (QIS) qualification is essential for this post.

The successful candidate will be a committed and collaborative team player with excellent communication skills. You will demonstrate a strong passion for delivering high-quality, family-integrated care within our Neonatal Unit, placing babies and their families at the centre of all you do.

Strong leadership skills are essential to support effective service delivery and maintain high standards of care across the unit. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly in line with the needs of the Neonatal Service and Family and Support services Directorate.
