Job summary

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust is seeking experienced neonatal nurses for a Band 5 position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This full-time, permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week with a salary range of £32,073–£39,043 pro rata per annum.

Qualifications

• Current registration with NMC.
• BSc Degree in Nursing.
• Evidence of recent CPD.
• Post Reg. qualifications for specialty area (QIS).
• Experience in a critical/high care environment in an acute care setting.
• Computer literate, knowledge of patient administration system.
• Managing resources and contributing to departmental budget.
• Evidence of developing policy, guidelines and managing resources.
• Awareness of research and evidence-based practice relevant to clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care to highly premature babies and their families.
• Deliver complex treatments and monitor patients in a busy NN unit.
• Participate in retrieval and neonatal life support activities.
• Engage in rotation across Neonatal Outreach, Family Integrated Care, Infant feeding, Education and Research teams.
