Job summary

Daytime Healthcare Recruitment Limited is seeking experienced Band 6 Neonatal Nurses and Midwives to support a busy neonatal unit in Lanarkshire, Scotland. You will provide family-centred care to premature and sick newborns as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include delivering specialist care, planning and evaluating care, supporting families, and maintaining detailed records. NHS Band 6 rates apply; prior NICU experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
• Neonatal nursing experience at Band 6 level.
• Neonatal qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in NICU, HDU, or SCBU.
• Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist neonatal nursing care to newborns needing intensive or high-dependency care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Monitor and manage infants requiring respiratory and feeding support.
• Support parents and families throughout the infant's care journey.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Band 6 Neonatal Nurses and Midwives to support a busy Neonatal Unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, family-centred care to premature and sick newborn infants, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist neonatal nursing care to newborn infants requiring intensive, high-dependency, or special care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Monitor and manage infants requiring respiratory support, feeding support, and other specialist interventions.
• Support parents and families throughout the infant's care journey.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with neonatologists, midwives, and allied healthcare professionals.

Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse (NMC Registered).
• Neonatal nursing experience at Band 6 level.
• Neonatal qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience within NICU, HDU, or SCBU settings.
• Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills.

Desirable

• Neonatal Intensive Care Course (QIS Neonatal).
• Experience with ventilated infants
