Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 4 Posts available, 37 hours per week on a shift basis. The shift pattern is a 4 week repeating pattern which is currently 3 weeks of 9am-5pm and 1 week of 1pm - 9pm Monday to Friday and 1 Saturday in 4 - 10am-6pm with a rest day the following week. 1 week in 12 will include shifts Mon/Tues - Sat starting at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm.

Working Hours: For roles in the team covering the City Centre, shifts are on a 3 week repeating pattern with two weeks of 9am-5pm and one week with shifts starting at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm and 1 Saturday in 3.

Worker Type: Offsite Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £32,597 (Level one) rising to £35,412 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Location: Various locations within Nottingham City Boundary

About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community but still want a good work/life balance? In this role, you'll be a key player in providing a customer‑focussed service‑taking pride in the neighbourhoods you serve, ensuring they stay safe, clean, and vibrant for all residents. You'll also build meaningful connections with local stakeholders, businesses, and citizens, becoming a trusted partner in the community.

With your knack for problem‑solving and a blend of smart, preventative measures, engagement and education you will also be able to step up with enforcement measures when needed to resolve neighbourhood and public realm challenges.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong communication skills: You listen, empathise, and balance assertiveness with negotiation.
  • An eye for detail and accurate record‑keeping skills, ready for any situation
  • Hands‑on experience working within communities, with an appreciation for involvement and participation.
  • Awareness of enforcement tools, such as fixed penalty notices, ASB regulations, and relevant laws, including the Crime and Policing Act 2014 and the Environmental Protection Act.
  • A NPPV (Non‑Police Personal Vetting) is required for this post. You must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years to apply for this post.
