Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a NEET Support Advisor to help 14-19 year olds (up to 25 with SEND) access education, training or work. You’ll provide tailored guidance, plan actions and work with schools and providers to keep young people on track.
You will build strong relationships with vulnerable young people, track progress and advocate for timely access to services, contributing to reduced NEET levels across Birmingham.
Are you passionate about helping young people build bright, confident futures? Do you believe in the power of guidance, opportunity and positive relationships? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.
As a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) Support Advisor for our Futures Navigators team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 14-19 (and up to 25 with SEND) to overcome barriers and move successfully into education, employment or training.
You’ll work directly with young people who need extra support — including those at risk of NEET, care experienced young people, or those facing social, emotional or practical challenges. Through tailored one‑to‑one guidance, action planning and partnership working, you’ll help ensure no young person is left behind.

Depending on the role, you may be asked to undergo the appropriate level of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to assess your suitability for working with children and young people.
The level of check (Standard, Enhanced, or Enhanced with Barred List) is determined based on the specific responsibilities of the role and the level of contact with children and young people.
We are committed to the fair treatment of all applicants, including those with criminal records. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar an individual from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of the offence.
Please note that we reserve the right to close the job early should we reach the required number of applications, therefore please ensure you submit your application and supporting statement early to avoid any disappointment.
