Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor to support large-scale construction/manufacturing programmes in Derby. The role involves on-site supervision, independent scrutiny of works, and ensuring materials and standards meet contract requirements.

You will report to the Project Lead and collaborate with technical advisors, construction managers, and the broader project team to maintain records and issue communications as required.

Qualifications

• NEC Supervisor accreditation or NEC Project Manager accreditation.
• Relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with construction methods and projects.
• Commitment to delivering quality standards and service.
• Ability to work within a large project team and use digital project information tools.

Responsabilités

• Undertake NEC Supervisor services as defined in NEC3 ECC and report to Project Leads.
• Maintain on-site presence and ensure correct materials and standards are met.
• Identify issues early to prevent recurrence and manage any defects.
• Witness testing and attend progress meetings.
• Communicate issues to Project Manager and maintain records.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is actively looking to engage with an experienced NEC Supervisor to aid in the delivery of large-scale construction/manufacturing programmes in Derby.

Responsibilities

• Undertake NEC Supervisor services as defined in the NEC3 ECC, reporting into the Project Leads for each element of the Recap Programme.
• Reports into the Project Lead appropriate to the project being worked upon.
• Have a regular presence on site, providing independent scrutiny of the works, ensuring the correct materials are used and to the correct standards.
• Have foresight, to enable the identification of issues/potential issues and prevent them from occurring.
• Mange any defects that do arise.
• Witness any testing.
• Attend progress meetings.
• Issue communications as per the requirements of the contract.
• Work in conjunction with the Project Manager, making them aware of any issues observed.
• Maintain contemporary records of all observations.

Qualifications

• NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager Accreditation
• Relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant construction experience and a good understanding of construction methods.
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, be committed to delivering to agreed quality standards.
• Work collaboratively within a large project team, including technical advisors and construction managers and will be confident in the use of digital systems to access project information and record defects.
• A good working knowledge of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) would be beneficial but not essential.
