Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor to support large-scale construction programmes in Sheffield. You will provide NEC-based supervision on site, ensure correct materials and standards, and work closely with Project Leads and technical advisors to proactively identify and manage defects and issues.

The role requires accreditation and solid construction know-how, with a track record of delivering to quality standards within complex project teams.

Qualifications

• NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
• Relevant construction experience and a good understanding of construction methods.
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, delivering to agreed quality standards.
• Work collaboratively within a large project team, including technical advisors and construction managers, and be confident using digital systems to access project information and record defects.
• A good working knowledge of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake NEC Supervisor services as defined in the NEC3 ECC, reporting into the Project Leads for each element of the Recap Programme.
• Reports into the Project Lead appropriate to the project being worked upon.
• Have a regular presence on site, providing independent scrutiny of the works to ensure correct materials and standards.
• Identify issues and potential issues to prevent recurrence.
• Manage any defects that arise.
• Witness any testing.
• Attend progress meetings.
• Issue communications per contract requirements.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and keep them informed of observed issues.
• Maintain contemporary records of all observations.

Turner & Townsend is actively looking to engage with an experienced NEC Supervisor to aid in the delivery of large-scale construction/manufacturing programmes in Sheffield.

• Maintain contemporary records of all observations.
