NEC Senior Project Manager - Central & Local Government

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in engineering and construction, specializing in NEC contracts, to join our Central and Local Government Real Estate team. Your role will involve leading complex projects that focus on public sector value, utilizing industry best practices and standards in NEC contract management. You will work with leading clients and oversee both immediate and large-scale projects. This is a great opportunity to advance your career within our dynamic business unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage NEC contracts effectively, including research, data collection, and benchmarking.
  • Guide residential-led or mixed-use projects, focusing on the enabling stage under NEC frameworks (highways, utilities, enabling works, remediation, public realm, bridges, utility diversions or upgrades, managing S106 or S278 obligations).
  • Develop and implement NEC contract processes and systems throughout the project.
  • Monitor and document project progress and performance indicators related to NEC contracts.
  • Track and document changes in accordance with NEC contract requirements.
  • Prepare communication materials and formal reports focusing on NEC contract administration.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and designers within the NEC contract structure.
  • Attend meetings and draft minutes, emphasizing NEC contract discussions and decisions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience focusing on NEC contracts.
  • Strong expertise in NEC contract administration.
  • Willingness to travel within London, the Home Counties, and the South East.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
  • Self-motivated with strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders within NEC frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CDM/site health and safety related to NEC contracts.
  • Desirable: Engineering background (civil, structural, mechanical/electrical) and broad understanding of the development lifecycle under NEC contracts.
