Job summary

Virtual Hire Staffing is recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager for a leading independent construction and property consultancy in the United Kingdom.

The successful candidate will lead high-profile, security-sensitive infrastructure projects for clients including HM Security, the Ministry of Defence, Transport for London and the AWE, acting as the trusted commercial and programme lead under NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Significant Project Management experience in the built environment.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 experience (PM accreditation desirable).
• Proven programme management ability with critical path analysis and delay/EOT assessment.
• Experience delivering for defence, secure, transport or other regulated clients.
• A relevant degree; MRICS, APM or equivalent desirable.
• Eligibility for security clearance (existing SC advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Manager under NEC3/NEC4 ECC and PSC contracts, managing Early Warnings, Compensation Events, notices and payment certification.
• Review and accept contractor programmes, monitor progress against baseline and manage critical path risk.
• Advise clients on contractual strategy, procurement routes and commercial risk.
• Manage budgets, forecasting and change control alongside the cost management team.
• Lead and mentor project managers and assistant project managers.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders at senior level.
