Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment is working with a Derby-based client to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor. You will review and negotiate client contracts and administer existing agreements, ensuring NEC3/NEC4 compliance across infrastructure projects.

You will manage subcontract negotiations, changes via EWN and compensation events, and prepare quotes while assisting decision‑making with clear contract interpretation. Degree in QS or 4+ years in engineering/technical is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with 4+ years in an engineering/technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of NEC Contracts (NEC3/NEC4) and their application to infrastructure projects.
• Experience drafting and negotiating subcontracts and managing change control (EWN, compensation events).

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate terms of client contracts and administer existing contracts.
• Manage contract changes using EWN and compensation events; issue quotes.
• Draft and negotiate subcontracts; manage supplier and client communications.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve commercial issues and provide contract interpretation.
