Job summary

OCU Group is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial performance on major infrastructure projects, including NEC contracts and final accounts. You will work with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners to maximise value and control risk.

The role requires experience in utilities/infrastructure, strong negotiation and stakeholder skills, and solid proficiency in Excel/MS Office. Based in Nottingham, this office-based position offers permanent, full-time employment

Qualifications

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within utilities, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or similar sector.
Experience working under NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost management principles.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Manage the commercial performance of allocated infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle.
Administer NEC contracts, including Compensation Events, Early Warning Notices, and payment applications.
Produce accurate cost reports, forecasts, CVRs, and commercial performance updates.
Manage subcontract procurement, valuations, payments, and final accounts.
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project performance.
Support project teams with contractual advice and commercial guidance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Negotiate and agree project and subcontract final accounts.
