Job summary

Amida is seeking a highly experienced NEC Commercial Manager for a major North West London scheme. You will support the Site Based Commercial Director and a team of over ten commercial operatives, delivering NEC contract administration, risk management and commercial governance on high-value packages.

Expertise in NEC contracts, options A–F, and pre/post-contract administration is essential. The role offers £100,000–£115,000 per annum plus a generous package and bonus on a full-time, on-site

Qualifications

• Assure cost submissions, build-ups, and review defined against disallowed costs.
• Manage and negotiate high-value variations and compensation events.

Job description

This permanent NEC Commercial Manager position sits with a leading subcontractor turning over more than £1.2 billion, working on a major scheme in North West London.

The successful candidate will support a site-based Commercial Director and a team of over ten commercial operatives at varying levels. Duties cover NEC contract administration, best practice guidance and commercial awareness, with exposure to Options A through F, alongside pre- and post-contract commercial administration. Applicants should demonstrate strong NEC expertise and the ability to advise on contractual matters across a substantial programme of works.

The role offers a salary of £100,000 to £115,000 per annum plus package, on a full-time permanent basis.

My client are a top 5 sub-contractor that turnover in excess of £1.2billion and work across the 4 corners of the European Union. They have a very large package of works on a £1billion+ scheme based in North London, which equates to circa £70million per year for the next 7 years for my clients packages of works.

They require the services of a highly experienced NEC Commercial Manager that knows NEC like the back of their hand and act as a support function to the Site Based Commercial Director and a team of 10+ commercial operatives of various levels.

• Assure complex project cost submissions, verify build-ups, and review defined costs against disallowed costs
• Manage, challenge, and negotiate high-value variations and compensation events

Depending on the calibre of the candidate, my client would look to pay up to £115k plus package and bonus.
