Job summary

KNDS DEFENCE UK LIMITED seeks an NDT Technician to perform RT, VT, MT and PT tests and inspections across production stages, with a focus on non-destructive testing. Based at the Northwest Engineering Centre of Excellence, Stockport, you will help ensure product quality and compliance with procedures.

Ideal candidates hold ISO9712 VT/MT/PT, possess a UK driving licence and passport, and have experience in manufacturing/engineering environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in non-destructive testing across RT, VT, MT and PT.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• ISO9712 VT/MT/PT certification preferred, UK driving licence and passport required.

Responsibilities

• Perform RT, VT, MT & PT tests and inspections at various production stages.
• Review part prints, procedures and work instructions for testing.
• Set up and perform non-destructive tests on materials and parts.
• Coordinate with Quality Manager on issues and investigations.
• Document test results, corrective/preventive actions and reports.
• Ensure equipment operates correctly and calibrate testing gear.
• Ensure compliance with records and document control processes.
• Participate in problem-solving to mitigate defects.
• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
