Job summary

Acuren is seeking a nondestructive testing (NDT) technician in the United Kingdom to set up and calibrate equipment and conduct inspections to detect defects. Your work will require interpreting radiographs and various readouts, applying testing criteria to specifications, and organizing results.

You may supervise others and perform specialized inspections while adhering to strict safety regulations. This role supports integrity across critical infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret inspection results
• Knowledge of NDT equipment

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects using NDT methods
• Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform specialized inspections
