Job summary

Babcock International is offering a Naval Architecture Undergraduate Placement Year in Bristol, for 12 months starting September 2027, with mentors and the Emerging Talent team guiding your professional growth.

You will rotate through placements, gain hands-on experience in stability, hydrodynamics, survivability, and lifecycle support, and be prepared for future opportunities including our graduate programme.

Qualifications

• Final year of STEM-based degree in naval architecture or related field.
• Degree accreditation by RINA/IMarEST preferred.
• Security clearance requirements may apply (BPSS/SC).

Responsibilities

• Rotate through placements tailored to career goals with mentor support.
• Analyse submarine stability and support live experiments, contributing to design of modifications.
• Collaborate with engineers to apply academic knowledge to real-world naval platforms.
