What we are looking for:

Lloyd’s Register Advisory provides services to the maritime supply chain, supporting design, construction, and operation of assets with a focus on safety, performance, and ROI. Our experts cover maritime technology, design, risk, machinery, materials, sustainability, fuels, business strategy, digitisation, and safety, addressing industry challenges.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lloyd’s Register Advisory Team as the manager of the 'Naval Architecture - Ship Design' team. You will manage naval architects supporting clients with design/modification studies, drawing production, risk assessments, yard/vendor evaluations, failure investigations, life extension, and operational assessments. You will also support sales with client proposals and help raise LR Advisory’s profile globally.

The role is based in Southampton or London, with a team in Southampton and Singapore. Travel may be required for client work and business development.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for naval architecture, strong commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills. They will be inquisitive, innovative, and experienced in growing teams and businesses in technical environments.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English and digital tools like NAPA, MAXsurf, Rhino, AutoCAD
